Timeless Capture

Timeless Capture is a device that forces an emotional attachment to the user through the medium of selective photography thereby extending its life, a polar opposite to planned obsolescence. This bond is forged every time the user captures an image which results in gained irreplaceable value being embedded at the heart of its use. Designed to be a modern take of a keepsake, the captured images are immediately sent wirelessly to the viewer, which is the sole access point to the images, once the camera is in close proximity. As the number of precious moments captured over time builds up, the device becomes exceptionally personal thereby transcending the realm of everyday objects and becoming a treasured item.

The project received an incredible amount of press coverage and sparked a lot of controversy on whether it would be more valuable if it had more functionality and future proofing it rather than limiting functionality.
